Terms of Service #

Welcome to SafeFoodHandler.ca! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website safefoodhandler.ca, the online food safety training course, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by SAFE FOOD HANDLER (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using the Service, enrolling in the course, making a payment, or receiving a certificate, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility #
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Account Registration #
To access the course, you must create an account using accurate and complete information (name, email, etc.).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@safefoodhandler.ca of any unauthorized use.
3. Course & Certification #
- The Safe Food Handler Certificate course is a self-paced, online training program aligned with Canadian food safety regulations.
- Upon successful completion (passing the final exam with a score of 70% or higher) and payment, you will receive a digital certificate delivered instantly via email.
- The certificate is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. Renewal is available instantly through our express renewal process (no full course retake required).
- The certificate is for personal use and verification of training completion. It is not a license to practice or a guarantee of employment.
4. Payment & Pricing #
- The course fee is a one-time payment of $29 CAD (current promotional price, subject to change).
- Payment is processed securely through our payment provider, supporting major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other available methods.
- All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, credits, cancellations, or exchanges (see our No Refunds Policy for details).
5. User Conduct #
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the course materials without written permission
- Attempt to interfere with the Service, servers, or networks
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Harass, abuse, or threaten others
6. Intellectual Property #
All content on SafeFoodHandler.ca — including text, graphics, videos, quizzes, exam questions, certificate design, logos, and branding — is owned by SAFE FOOD HANDLER and protected by Canadian copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access the materials solely for your personal educational use during enrollment. Any unauthorized use may result in termination of access and legal action.

7. Privacy #
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with PIPEDA and applicable provincial laws.
8. Limitation of Liability #
The Service and certificate are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Termination #
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms, for legal reasons, or at our sole discretion.
10. Governing Law #
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.
11. Changes to Terms #
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
